This Week in West Point:
Hey Everyone! How was all of your christmas and new year? I hope you all had an amazing time. i'm so sorry for not emailing last week. there's been a few changes with the email. the church is now going through Google so we had to change a few things. my email address now is peter.mcallister@myldsmail.net. if you still send emails to the old email address i'll still get them at least for a little while but it would be best to send them to this email address because the old one will soon be deleted. Last week i used up all my time just changing the email so i'm sorry about that.
These last two weeks have been good. For christmas the international zone asked us for some help. we went to Wan Chai and helped with a sacrament meeting (international is mostly philipinas that come to work in Hong Kong. they only get one day off a week and for each person that day is defferent so there is church on every day of the week so they can go to church). Me and Elder Chan helped with the sacrament and we sang some christmas songs in sacrament. after sacrament we went on exchanges and taught so many lessons. the philipinas are seriously so humble and easy to teach. it was really different from chinese work. it was deffently the most fast pased christmas but i think it was the best. we spent the whole day teaching and feeling the spirit and it was just awesome!
In Hong Kong christmas is a little different. there's christmas but they usually don't open presents on chirstmas. the day after christmas is called box day and then they open presents. usually christmas is full of eating and family getting together. alot like Thanksgiving in america. it's really different. and apperently christmas lasts like a week.
Last Pday we did Pday in the evening. we did our pros time this morning. we went on a disrict find in aberdeen. We hiked up lions rock like i did a couple of weeks ago but this time the whole zone went with us. it was so awesome but we weren't able to see the sunset because it was too foggy.
Yesterday we went to that island that we wanted to go to for christmas. we went out there and taught our investigator that lives out there. after we walked around and tried to teach a couple people. the island is really small. there's like maybe 20,000 or 30,000 people living there. you could walk the whole thing in a few hours. you could probably see a picture of it online if you look up Cheung Chau Hong Kong. just if you wanna see.
I love you all so much. i hope you are all doing good. always remember the church is true and let your light shine
Happy New Year!!!! 2010!!!!!
