Hong Kong coins!

Peter sent my kids a few coins, here are the front and back views!

Letter: recieved Dec.15th, 2009

A lot of this is stuff he has put in his e-mails, but here goes!
Hey Family!
Happy Thanksgiving! Probably with how long the mail takes it will almost be Merry Christmas!, haha. How are you guys? I just got your letter today with the memory card in it. Thank You so much for taking care of tat for me. I hope you liked them. I was looking at some of them today and it seems like forever ago that I took them. Anyway thank you for taking care of that for me. hopefully within the next few months I'll have another one for you.
I did not know that Mandi was pregnant! That's so cool. There are going to be so many many little babies crawling around by time I get home. That's cool that you are helping out with massage and all. Do you think I can reserve a 10 minute massage for when I get home? I'm definitely going to need one!
Everything here is going awesome! I'm still in Ma On Shan (written before the moves), my baby area. I'm in my 4th moves or transfers and almost in my 5th. Time flies so fast. My comp right now is Elder Wortham. He's awesome! We've been together for almost 2 moves now. We're pretty sure that I will probably be moving this next one though, but we will see.
We haven't been able to get ahold of our investigator Mike for about a week, but we've been having some success with a couple of our new investigators, Jessica and Siu Lo. Jessica is 12 years old and a little shy, but really awesome. She really likes treats so we will usually make cookies or cake or something with her. Her mom and dad are members, but went inactive before Jessica was born and just recently started coming back to church. Siu Lo is a 20 year old from mainland China. She is so awesome though. She understands everything we teach her and reads the Book of Mormon almost everyday! It's pretty different that once they took sister missionaries out of our area all our investigators turned into females. At first it was awkward, but now I think they are so much easier. They actually understand and are way more humble then most guys in Hong Kong.
Today for Thanksgiving we went with the entire mission to do service. It was so cool seeing everyone there. I totally rebuilt a fence. I'm pretty proud of myself!! After we had a Thanksgiving Luch. We had mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey, stovetop, cranberry sauce and to top it off.... Pumpkin Pie!! You can't get any of these things in Hong Kong. We were so Happy! After we played rugby. It was way fun. A lot of people here play rugby, because of the British influence. American Football doesn't exist out here. You should tell Ki if he doesn't like football he should try out for Rugby. I think he would like it.
I love and miss you guys so much. You are all amazing! Your support helps so much, seriously! I'm so excited for Ki, Kelten and Knightin to all get their calls ti the China Hong Kong Mission! Haha. Anything could happen. I'll see you all in the next life.
Love,
Elder Uncle McAlllister
He also wrote little notes to each of the kids, but I won't bore you with those!!

This Week in West Point:

Hey Family! How are you all doing? How is Christmas going so far? I miss the snow so bad. haha. I'm loving West Point!! This last week was amazing! I can't believe how much i have in my area. The IFC building (Tallest building in hong kong, for now at least) is in my area. the thing i don't like though is that like seriously half the people here are white. I don't like white people any more. haha there just really rich and rude. there are a lot of people from mainland here too so they don't even speek cantonese so i just turn them over to my comp that speaks a little mandarin. it's deffinatly different then Ma On Shan. I love it though. our investigators and members are amazing. One of our investigators, Candy, is the most humble person i've met. We were just at a lesson last night with a recent convert and her husband apperently is an amazing cook so they invited us to there house for christmas dinner. I love this ward so much.My Companion Elder Chan is amazing. i feel bad for him though because he has to put up with my slow cantonese. he's helped me so much this last week. it was just us two living in the appartment so i've been talking straight chinese this last week. i love elder chan though. he's an amazing missionary and an amazing teacher. I don't even feel like a senior comp with him. Half the time i just follow his lead. haha the only time that i feel like a senior comp is at the end of the week and elder chan teases me because i have to do the numbers and not him. hahathis morning we moved all our stuff down the street to the new appartment. i hate moving in hong kong! haha we live with the aberdeen elders now.Well i gotta go family but i love you all so much. I'll email you next week on christmas eve. i love you all and have an amazing week.

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Hey everyone!!! =) How are you all? Alot has happened this week. The biggest is that i moved. i've been in my new area for about 3 hours now and it's completely different from Ma On Shan. I moved to the Island!! =) haha i'm so excited! my new area is West Point. its all sky scrapers and buisness buildings. totally defferent then Ma On Shan. My new comp is Elder Chan. I got a native companion. He's way tight! The craziest thing is that i am now senior companion!!!!! I'm only on my 5th Move. I totally don't feel like senior though, he knows the area and he's lived in hong kong his whole life. I'm a little nervous but really excited at the same time. he says that the ward is really good and really like to help the missionaries so that's really good. This Moves 25 Missionaries went home and only 5 came in. the mission is really shrinking. so they are going to close our appartment so we have to move next week. we'll still be in west point but just in a different appartment. so i'll have to move again (moving in hong kong isn't exactly the most fun) haha but it's all good. We'll be in this appartment for a week and then move next week.I'm really excited to have a native companion. I hope that my cantonese well improve a little. He has pretty good english too. so far we spoke mostly Changlish (English / Chinese). haha it's actually pretty intresting because you'll just say a sentance in English or Cantonese and just throw in a few words of the other language. its something chinese people do alot, even talking to eachother they will still throw in a couple words in english.Well i love you all and i'll talk to you all next week. I love you all so much! behave yourselves =)

This week in Horse Saddle Mountain (Ma On Shan):

Hey Everyone! I can't Believe that it's december already!! Time seriously flies when your having fun! =) haha I wish it would slow down just a little. This next week is the last week of this moves. I find out next wednesday if and where i'll be moving. I really don't want to leave Ma On Shan. I feel like we're just now starting to have success. I know that if i move it's what God wants me to do but it'll be hard. I've been in Ma On Shan for over 5 months. any way i'll let you all know next week what happens. This week has been really good. We still haven't been able to get ahold of mike but we're trying. On sunday we had a new investigator come to church though. he said that he's busy durring the week but he would come next sunday. On Monday we met this old guy and pulled him back into the church. we told him about sacrament meeting and he asked if we sing songs. we told him yes. he said good but that his voice sounds bad when he sings. he's really cool. like around 75ish years old. He told us that he can do Coligraphy so we told him to come back and teach us. He came back the next day and taught us. it was so cool. He wrote my chinese name and it looked so tight!Yesterday we tought Bergonia with the help of Bishop Chan's wife. we tought the plan of salvation and she loved it. she said that she wants to tell her daughter about it (the anti christ one. she believes in reincarnation or however you spell it) any way at the end of the lesson she said the most humble prayer. she told Heavenly Father that she was putting her family into His hands. She's so awesome.Last night we tought Jessica the Gospel of Jesus Christ. we tried to think of a cool analogy for each principle. it was really good. one of the analogies didn't really work out. it involved a lighter and a tea bag. we ended up burning 25 tea bags without it working. haha it was funny though. i have a pretty cool burnt mark on my hand now =) haha. This morning we got up at 5 so we could go hike Lions Rock (a mountain that seperates Kowloon from Tolo Harbour) We got to see the sunrise over hong kong island and we could seriously see all of hong kong. it was awesome.Well Family i gotta go but i love and miss you all! I hope that you have an awesome week! be good and behave yourselves =)

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! =) I hope you all had a good thanksgiving. Today the entire mission went to do service at this Poh Pohs farm. it was so awesome. we totally cleaned everything up and plowed and fixed fences and alot of stuff like that. it was way fun. then we all went to Homintine to have a Thanksgiving lunch. they actually had real mashed patatos, real turcky (with no bones in it), real stuffing, real cranberry souce, and almost real pumpkin pie. you could tast the Hong Kong milk in it but it was still way good pumpkin pie! by the way none of these things really exist in hong kong so it was really awesome! =) After we played Rugby. They don't really do Football here, more Rugby. it's way fun but i such. hahaThis week has been really fun and good. on saturday we baked cookies with one of our younger investigators, Jessica, that we got from the sisters. she is a little shy espically around us but cookies deffinitly helped break the ice. we watched Testiments with her and gave her a short message. we made rice krispies with her yesterday too and that was really good. she is really awesome and i think we're going to ask her to be baptised next time we see her.We also have a new investigator named Siu Lo. she is from the mainland so her cantanese is ... ok ... haha it's really good but it has a major mandarin accent to it. any way she is really cool and golden. she understands everything we teach her and is progressing perfectly. We haven't been able to get ahold of mike lately. we keep praying for him and call him everyday but there's not much we can do. He is an amazing person and i know that he has felt the spirit. I know that he will eventually come back.Yesterday we went to the University Train Station and did a district find (our district is us and the Zone Leaders). it was way cool. i gave out three book of mormons. i've never given out that many at once. it was way cool. One thing that i'm really learning lately is to have a member present to every lesson. they help the atmosphere seem so much more calm and when they testify it really hits the investigator. I know i said this last week but seriously, if you have the opportunity to share your testimony, DO IT!! That is why we are here. Rember the story of the Talents It's not just about haveing a talent like singing, playing the piano, dancing and such. It is everything that God gives us, Everything. If we do not share our testimony with others then our testimony will not grow in us and will not grow in others. I really need to work on this too. Sometimes i find my self in a situation where i can share my testimony or teach but it's outside my comfort zone and i don't do it. This is something we all have to develop and learn. haha sorry i'm not meaning to be a peter priesthood. i just love you all and i know that you all have an amazing testimony because i've heard most of yours. just don't keep it hidden.I love you all sooo much! I miss you all too! always remember who you are! =) peace be unto thee

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Hey Family! It seriously feels like i was just emailing you guys yesterday. this weeks gone by so fast. we've had a pretty busy week so it's been really good. an interesting story on friday, we went to visit someone that we contacted on the street a few days before. we didn't have her number just her address. so we knock on her door and she was all excited to see us. She's like 50 years old from tailand. we asked her if we could watch Finding Happiness with her but she kept insisting that we watch this concert video from tailand. So after listing to songs like YMCA, and That's the Way I Like It, we finally convince her to put in the movie we brought. She really didn't catch the concept of what we were sharing. she just kept telling us that we should have our "company" (Church) put on a concert and teach people how to dance. haha pretty interesting. I love being a missionary =)So you know that i always write that Hong Kong is the hottest place on earth. always sweating and all that. well on sunday the weather started to change. It got so cold!!! by wednesday i swear it was below freezing. it got to about 7 degrees Celcious. The humidity makes it seem so much colder then it really is. Today the sun is shining for the first time in like a week. it's still cold but the sun helps. On sunday we got to see mike. we had Brother Lee from the bishopbrick help us. the lesson was awesome. we watched To This End Was I Born and Brother Lee bore testimony on the fruits of the spirit, which is exactly what mike needs to hear. he's makeing a little progress but still a little skeptical.A-Fei never came to church but we're still able to call him and trying to schedule a time to meet.On Tuesday we met with Bergonia. She's been having a lot of trouble at home. her daughter is anti Christ and they are always fighting about it. but we had Sister Choi help us teach her. Sister Choi is a very happy person and Bergonia noticed it a lot and it really hit her because she really doesn't have a lot of happiness in her life. sis choi told her she's so happy because of the gospel. they became instant friends.it was an amazing lesson!I love you all so much. i hope that you all have an amazing week. and don't be afraid to share your testimonies. one thing i've learned this week is the importance of a members testimony. if you get the chance don't be afraid. it doesn't matter to who, just take advantage of the short time we have here. it doesn't matter wether its in church, or to a friend or to each other.I love you all. talk to you next week. =)

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Hey Family =) How are you all doing? I miss you all so much!! but i'm having a blast out here. I'm glad that krysty got the pictures up so everyone can see them. I'm gaining a little weight but my zone leader is pushing me every morning to exersice. we go jump rope by the river every morning. All the people here are calling me a Fei Jai. haha it letterally means fat boy. haha It's deffinatly pushing me to lose weight. any way, This week has been awesome. i seriously don't know where the time went.Ok so really quick background, when i first got to ma on shan there were sister missionaries that covered both Ma On Shan and Sha Tin. well they took them out this moves, so at the moment no sisters in ma on shan or sha tin. so any way we got there investigators and one of them is a 12 year old girl who's parents have been inactive for since before she was born. the sisters found the family somehow (because there name isn't on the ward list) and they started coming back to church. so now we're teaching the family and working with Jessica, the girl, and her mom really wants her to be baptised (it's nice to have the parents actually on our side) haha =) any way so we made dumplings with them this last week and just got to know her. she's really shy but really cool. i love her family too.We talked to mike the other day. he's been really busy this week but we had a chance to see him for a little bit. we read the conversion of alma and the story of enos with him. we told him that through prayer we can change our lives for the better and that God is there to help us. I could tell that he really felt the spirit. I know that even if he doesn't join the church now that he will later down the road. I love mike though. he is such an amazing example to me of humility and faith. i deffinatly see a future steak president in him =) hahaA huge miracle happened the other day. so I don't know if you all remember A-Fei from a few months ago. well he was our golden investigator and then out of nowhere he droped off the face of the earth. we've tried to call him millions of time but he never answered. so the other day we were eating lunch and i was telling Elder Posey (My Zone Leader) about A-Fei and how we've never been able to get ahold of him. he said why don't you try to call him right now. so i said ok let me see your cell phone and he did. so i dialed the number and it rang like it always does and then right when i expected the answering machine to come up, A-Fei answered!!! haha so i talked to him and scheduled him for later this week. haha Elder Posey had a huge "i told you so" grin on his face. haha so that's what's been going on this week. lots of miracles and blessings. =)Well family i love you all and i hope you have the most awesome week ever! Talk to you in seven days =)

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Hey Family! =) How have you all been? This week has been pretty good. on saturday we had our ward haloween party. it was so fun. we made a backdrop for taking pictures and then one of the elders put on something that made him blend into the backdrop so when we take pictures he would scare them at the same time. it was fun.We haven't been able to see mike this week. he has been really busy with school and work but i called him the other day and every thing should be ok with him. he's been going though the trial of his faith and i think that he is going to come out just fine but we'll see. we just keep trying to help him as much as we can.we had interviews with president chan and they went really well. he gave me some ideas that we can do to help some of our investigators. he is a convert so he's never been a missionary but ever since he was baptised, around 25 years old, he has always shared the gospel so even though he's never served a full time mission he has some of the best missionary stories and experience.well i love you guys so much and i'll talk to you all next week.

The Video Clips!

From Peter1

So you can view these videos through the slide show, but you have to go to the web album, which isn't hard, but I thought I'd make it easier on everyone and upload them separate. The one of Peter dancing in a skirt wouldn't upload either time. It tells me it is currently unavailable. So, If I figure out what is wrong, I'll upload it then. Until then you'll just have to use your imagination!

Click on the images and it will take you right to Picasa to view it.

From Peter

Picture from Peter!

So we got the Memory card again. These are the most recent pictures of his mission. There are a few more from the MTC, but most are from Hong Kong. Enjoy the kids and I had fun looking through them, we can't wait for Peter to tell us what some of these pictures are and the stories behind them. I also Uploaded a few video clips on the slide show I hope they work. If they don't I'll try to upload them separate. One is of some of the natives I'm assuming doing a traditional dance, one is on maybe a member doing some Karaoke. Then I had to put in the one of Peter dancing with the other missionaries in a skirt, Haha!

Hey everyone! This week has gone by so fast just like every other week! sorry that i'm emailing on friday rather then thursday. they moved our p day this week because of a mission tour yesterday. president pratt from the seventy came and talked to us. it was pretty cool!On Saturday we had a hiking activity for our investigators. we just hiked up to a park in the mountains and then played games and stuff. when we got back we asked mike if we could talk to him really quick. we shared a short message and then, not planned, gave him a baptism date. he said that he would!! I'm so excited! he's so humble and has accepted all invetations to do better and change his life for the better. we tought him the other day about the word of wisdom with the help of a member that we chose completely randomly. it ended up being perfect because she used to drink and mike said that every once in a while he drinks with his friends. she testified about the blessings from keeping the word of wisdom and mike said that he wouldn't drink anymore! =) he is so awesome! On sunday we had a asia area fireside. all the stakes in hong kong, taiwan, mongolia, india, indonesia, and a couple other places watched a brodcast firside with the asia area seventy Elder Watson, Elder Oaks, and President Uchtdorf. it was so awesome! it was like two general conferences in a row.so next thursday is moves and next wednesday they will announce moves calls. i'm not sure if i will be moving yet but i have a feeling that i am going to be. we'll see but you will all know by next thursday. i really hope that i can stay in ma on shan but if the Lord needs me in other places then that's what is best. I've been in ma on shan for almost 3 transfers. time goes so fast!! i wish it would slow down! take advantage of every minute! before you know it your looking back and you will want it to be a good view. there's some inspiring words from Elder McAllister =) I'm thinking of making my own fortune cookies =) haha ok i'm done. well i love you all! i hope you all have a wonderful week. until we meet again... =)

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Hey Family! =) I honestly don't know where this week went. it went by so fast! I have to look in my planner just to remember what happened. On Saturday and Sunday we had General Conference. It was amazing! After Elder Hollands talk i'm pretty sure that the book of mormon is ture! =) haha it was so good. our investigator Mike Came to all both sessions on saturday and the priesthood on saturday night. he wasn't able to make it for the sunday because of work but he is so awesome. he's so humble and willing to change. the other day we went to mcdonalds to eat and me and my comp said our quick prayer for our food and when we finnished he asked us if he should pray for his food. we told him that it's a personal thing but you can if you want. so he said he wanted to try so he said his own little personal prayer for his food right there in mcdonalds. haha he is so awesome.on tuesday we went to daves and did service again for that poh poh there. it was really fun because we got the whole zone there (20 missionaries) we really helpd out alot and it was really fun. the sisters basically cleaned the heck out of here garden. it looked so good when they were done. she just had us to plowing with picks. i have a pretty awesome farmers tan right now! =) hahaYesterday we taught a less active. his grandma just passed away and he told us that she basically raised him so it was really hard for him. we shared about temples and the covenants that we make there. we told him that he can help his grandma by preparing to go to the temple and doing family history. he seemed pretty excited about it. i am too.I'm not trunky or anything but i'm so excited to apply all the things that i'm learning out here into life at home. I have a lot of stuff i have to do better.I love you all and i'll talk to you all next week. =)

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Hey Family! I'm glad to here that everything went well with Grandpa's Funeral. I really wish i could have been there. I'm really glad that everyone could be there. That would have been awesome to see everyone back at the house again. I miss Camino, especially when everyone was there. This week has been pretty good. after i emailed last week we went to TST to watch fireworks for the mid autumn festival. it was pretty sweet. everyone pretty much goes crazy for mid autumn festival. i've eaten so many moon cakes! i still have like five in the fridge. hahaOn monday through tuesday we had 24 hour exchanges and i went to Tai Wo. On Tuesday we went to go do service at this investigators house. he lives way out in the middle of nowhere. we help a Poh Poh (old lady) with here garden. it was really fun. i haven't been able to do a lot of service here because in hong kong it's very hard to find service to do. but after that i really want to focus on serving people i see. teaching is very important but we are called here to serve and help these people so i really want to focus on that. So yesterday me and my comp went "service finding" and we came across a guys that was trying to lift these bags of sand up a hill. so we told him we'd help. It was so amazing that heavenly father knew that we wanted to help someone that day and he helped us know where to go to find someone. Our shirts were a little dirty and our shoes were brown the rest of the day but we didn't care. it was the first time that i came home really feeling like i did something really good. I love being a missionary. there's no other time in your life where you get to do the things like you get to do on a mission. I love it so much and i'm so greatful for amazing examples i've had in my life of missionary work. my older brothers, my Dad, and My Grandparents. i love you all.I'm so excited for general conference this weekend. here we have it a week later because of translation and stuff so you all already know what they talked about but i haven't seen it yet so i'm pretty excited!i'll talk to you all next week. i love you all.

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Hey Family. I just heard about Grandpa Mac. I hope everyone there is doing ok. I wish i could be there right now but i'll be there in spirit. Grandpa Mac was amazing. I'm so glad i had the chance to see him this last february and tell him that his last grandchild was going on his mission. I know that he is in an amazing place now though. and is really happy. I'm praying for all of you all. I'm so glad that we are blessed with the knoledge of the plan of salvation. my testimony has grown so much about the plan of salvation. It is true and i know that we will all see not only Grandpa Mac but Grandma Mac and Grandpa and Grandma Ki again. I love you all so much and i hope your all doing ok.
This week has been pretty eventful, On saturday we had that zone Conference and they made an announcement that made us all so happy. The Hong Kong Mission is offically getting cell phones!!!! haha up to this point only office elders, zone leaders, and AP's got cell phones but in a few months every companionship should have one. i'm way excited! on Tuesday the Sisters appartment flooded, like really flooded (about 2 inches). we helped them clean it all up. I've alwayse wanted to see a flooded house and now i got to see one =) hahaToday for PDay we hiked the Ma On Shan (Horse Saddle Mountain). the peak is called something else but it was really cool. we started out walking by this guys getto house and he's like ya just keep walking up and follow the red ribbons. so we did and it led us though spider infested trees, short bushes that you can't see your feet, and cliffs that are seriously straight up and down. haha it was just me and my comp so we were like man if we die no one would know. haha but we just kept going and all of a sudden we pop out at this peak. haha it was pretty awesome. we found a little better way down. it was so fun though.Well family i love you all and i hope you have a good week.

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Hey everyone, sorry that i'm emailing earlier then i normally do. This week we had to have PDay on Wednesday instead of Thursday. We have Zone meetings this week end so they had to switch it. any way this week has been amazing! last thursday night me and elder wortham went finding around Ma On Shan so i could show him around. we tought so many lessons and we met a kid, Mike. he is awesome. he has had a lot of trials in his life and has had a very hard time, but he is the most humble guy i've met in hong kong. he is totally prepared for the gospel. he came to church on sunday and he said he really liked it and he felt better then before. i love the spirit! it can testify so strong to those that are willing to listen and feel.Addison wasn't abble to come because we was with his mom in the mainland for the weekend but he is still progressing so well. He is such a good kid. we went to eat with him a couple days ago so elder wortham could meet him.Elder Wortham is awesome! he has tought me so much in these last few days. He teaches the gospel so simply and clearly that everyone can understand it. i'm really working on teaching like that. The language is really fun! hong kong is awesome because if you don't know a word you can just say it in english. the people here know that most random words. they can't understand if you just speak in english but if you talk in chinese and add an english word here and there then they understand. it's really fun. i'm still not good at the language but i can see my improvement. my first day here i was so scared to open my mouth and talk but now it's so easy to just say hi to eveyone.so i'm sorry i havn't sent any pictures back. i'm really bad at that. i've been meaning to send my card to kristy but i haven't done it yet. i still need to develope some before i do but i promise that you'll get pictures soon.
i love you all so much and i hope you have an amazing week! the church is true! I'll email you all next week at the normal time.

Letter Oct. 31st 2009

Family!!!
Sorry, I'm not very good at drawing faces (he drew faces at the top of the letter to represent each of us). I am so sorry it's taken me as long as it has for me to write you! I really haven't written anyone for a long time, but that's no excuse ! I love your letters so much! I was reading back about your carport. I bet it looks so good! I can't believe TJ is already Two and Knightin is Potty trained and started preschool! I miss them so much! and you guys of course too! Haha
I'm really glad that everyone was able to make it for Grandpa's funeral. I'm sure Dad really needed and appreciated everyone being there. I wish I could have been. Dad is so amazing! He is such a good example to me and everyone. I've asked mom and Dad if they wanted to pick me up from Hong Kong, but I don't know if they will be able to. You guys are more then welcome! haha the kids would love Hong Kong! Sometimes I can't believe that I am half a world away!
I really Love Hong Kong! The lifestyle is so different out here. The people react to us pretty funny. When I stop people on the street, usually there will be a Poh Poh ( grandma) that will stand 2 feet away and just stare at you and once you look at her she'll get scared and run away. I love the Poh Poh's though. Whenever you are having a hard day you can go and sit in a park with them and just talk about nothing. They just make you feel better!. The one thing that I don't like about Hong Kong is the fight to get ahead of everyone else. Everyone wants to be better then everyone else and are just way to into themselves. I still love these people and I am so grateful to be here. I have seen so many miracles! Mike, our investigator right now, is so amazing and humble. He's one of the people that weren't able to get ahead and he feels not to good about himself. I'm literly watching the gospel fill a hole in him, that otherwise might have not been filled. The time that we spend with him are honestly the most humbling experiences.
My testimony of service has grown so much lately. I keep thinking about my call and where it says that I am called to serve!! We have really tried to look for ways to serve lately. Christ was always serving others. Yes, he taught but when he wasn't teaching he was serving. I love that I have an amazing example like Jesus Christ. Not only that but one amazing family and amazing brothers and dad, and you too Kristy that have been amazing examples as missionaries, and have set the bar for me!! I love you all so much!
I hope you're all being good. I'm not there to keep an eye on you anymore, hahaha!
Taylar,
Hey Tay, how have you been? I'm so sorry it took me so long long to write! I hope everything is going good. I heard that you started Girl Scouts, that is so amazing! You're growing up too fast. I still remember when you were born and I held you, you wouldn't let me sit down. I could only stand up!, haha I love and miss you Taylar!
Ki,
Hey big guy! Are you taking care of your mom and dad for me? They are starting to get a little older and need help every now and again, haha! I miss yo Ki! How is football going? I bet you are the best player! We will have to play when I get home. I love you Ki!
Kelten,
Hey stud how are you? You haven't forgotten me now have you? Haha I miss you Kelten! Keep working out those muscles and when I get home we can wrestle! You will probably bet me so fast! I Love you Kelten!
Knightin and TJ,
I hope you guys remember me just a little! I love you both so much! Congratulations on the potty traing you both are so big! I love you guys!
I love all of you! I hope you can read my chicken scratches, oh and the Orange pen!!
Love,
Elder McAllister

This Week In Ma On Shan,

Wow this week has been amazing! Our investigator, Addison, is really progressing. We want to eat with a member last nigh with Addison and the Sisters. The Sisters gave the lesson on miracles. They went around the table and asked everyone what miracles they want in this life. When they got to Addison he said that he wants to become a real gentlemen and that he also wants to share the Fuk Yum (pronounced like Foke Yum, in Cantonese that means Gospel)!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha He basically just said he wants to be a missionary!!!!! haha he is awesome!!!! He's 17 so if he decided to go he totally could. He's getting baptised on October 3rd! I'm so excited!!!

On Monday we had moves calls (where we find out if we will leave our area and if we get new companions and so on). Elder Dixon moved to the Island and is going to do international work (an English speaking zone that works with everyone other than Chinese people. White people, Philippians, Indonesians.....) So my new comp is Elder Wortham. Today was moves day so I just picked up my new comp today. He's really cool. He is from Kansas. I'm really looking forward to this next move. We will see a lot of miracles.

Oh and something pretty funny. So the last Sunday in every moves we have a fireside called , "Why I Believe," that anyone came come to, and the dying missionaries (missionaries going home) share their testimonies. It's a really big thing in Hong Kong because it's such a small mission. Everyone knows everyone and it's seriously just the best mission in the world. Anyway a sister in our zone called the Assistants to the Presidents and put my name in to sing at the next Why I Believe fireside!!!!! I DON'T SING!!!! haha She called me the other day and told me she did it. haha I told her I would but I hope I don't ruin the song for everyone. haha SO in six weeks I'm singing "I Heard Him Come" with Elder Posey (my zone leader) and two sisters. It'll be very interesting. haha

Well, I love you all and hope you have an amazing week!!! =)

This Week in Ma On Shan,

Hey everyone! =) I love My Mission! I see miracles everyday! And I know that you can all see them too. If you ever have a bad day and you just want to go home and sleep or whatever, try to thing of one miracle that happened that day. Just one positive thing before you go to bed and write it down. I do this everyday and I started seeing how many miracles really do happen everyday. I love you all!!! I miss you all!!! The Church is true and I know it with all my heart.

This week has been pretty different. It's been a little slow as far as investigators but that's not stopping us. We've gotten a whole lot of finding in this week. We taught more street lessons last week than we have since I got here. See miracles =) haha I love finding. It's really hard and sometimes can be discouraging but you learn a lot and you really get close to the Lord. When you pull someone aside on the sidewalk, who probably wasn't even thinking about the purpose of life or anything like that, and you teach them about Christ and you see a spark light in them that they didn't even realize was there. It's amazing. I love it!!! I hope that you all can have an opportunity to share your testimony everyday.

I love you all so much! The Gospel is true and I know it with all my heart. I'll talk to you all next week.

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Wow this week has been really crazy. We have six Elders in our apartment. Me and my comp, the Zone Leaders, and two Mandarin Missionaries. This last week for two days my comp, one of the zone leaders and one of the Mandarins were all sick. So me, Elder Storrs (Zone Leader) and Elder Oneil (brand new Mandarin Missionary that just came to Hong Kong) were a threesom companionship for those two days. It was really cool though because while Elder Storrs was teaching this member family , Elder Oneil couldn't understand anything because he's learning Mandarin so I had to translate for him and I realised how much I've actually learned this last move. It was a really simple translation and I can't get all the words but I love seeing the blessing that God gives to us and I know that it's only by his help that I can learn this language.

So we have an investigator, Fei, that on Sunday we challenged to be baptized and he said that he would. I'm so excited for him. He's progressing so much. It's such a miracle how we found him. He just walked into the church one day while we were eating lunch. Miracles do happen everyday.

I love Hong Kong. It's been raining a lot lately but I love it. All our zone just played Soccer in the rain. It was awesome. I love how small Hong Kong is. All the missionaries in the zone live within thirty minutes from everyone. You get to see everyone a lot. Hong Kong is the best mission in the world. =) haha There's a lot of changes going on right now though with the new Mission President. President Chan is awesome and I'm really glad I'll have him for my whole mission.

So just a random fact that I learned over here. The last name Chan in Cantonese is pronounced Chun. And the last name Lee is pronounced Lay, like the Hawaiian flower necklace thing. Oh and Jackie Chan's real name is Shing Loong or something like that. haha Anyway, I love you all and I will write you all next week =)

Letter: To Mark Williams While In the MTC

My Dearly Beloved Brother Billy Goat,

Behold, my beloved brother, I have somewhat to say concerning my time here in the land of MTC. Behold, the "fire hydrant" of knowledge, as thou hast mentioned, has been pouring out it's waters upon my brain. Now I need not rehearse unto thee concerning these matters, for thou knowest concerning all these things. Therefore if sufficeth me that I might ask thee concerning our beloved brother Kyle. Has he desires to move thither to the land of Utah? Behold, this would bring much joy to my heart. Nevertheless, he may do that which his heart desires.

Now it came to pass that me and my brethren have labored for some time in the RC. Now I have somewhat to say concerning this labor. *Behold, two thousand nine years, four months, and twenty nine days have passed away since the coming of our Lord and Savior. And behold, me and my brethren were laboring hard in the RC. Despite our fear and lack of knowledge, we labored hard. Now it came to pass that I received an incoming petition from one, Danny, from the land of Arizona. And this Danny began to question me on many things, yea even so many that we conversed for the space of an hour, according to our time. Now there were many things with which we had conversed, yea even so many that I cannot write them all. Nevertheless I have written them upon my other plates (journal). Now it came to pass that at the end of our speaking, I commanded (committed) him that he should attend a Sacrament Service. Now it came to pass that Danny believed many of the words that I have spoken, and agreed to do that which I had commanded (committed) him. Now it shall come to pass that on the morrow I shall converse with this Danny again.

[*2009 AD]

Now concerning this "Revelator" (David Williams) that thou hast spoken. I desire that I should hear more of this revelations.

Now my dearest brother, Billy Goat, I make an end of my speaking for a time. Go now and continue to always do good in thy land, Amen.

This Week in Ma On Shan:

Hey what's up family? I love Hong Kong. I know I say that in every email but I seriously do! Missionary work is amazing. It's got it's up and downs but if you always look for the miracles that happen everyday you never get discouraged or at least not as much. I've decided to start a miracle book. Everyday I will write one miracle that happened that day and if I ever feel down I can look back on that.

Anyway, this week has been really good. We had our moves calls on Monday. That's when we find out who will move or find out your new companion and stuff like that. So me and Elder Dixon are staying together for at least another move. He's been here so long. This is his 6th move here in Ma On Shan. Today we had moves so everyone was at the temple changing companions and stuff. It was crazy.

So I had a really crazy experience the other day. Our investigator John, who has been an amazing investigator until the last couple weeks, came in and told us that he doesn't know if this is what he wants. He said he didn't want to wast our time and he didn't come for a lesson. So we bore our testimony and told him that we are still here for him if he needs anything. As I bore my testimony I had an amazing experience. I realized what John was about to give up. I know that things I said were true and it really strengthened my testimony. I don't know if that makes sense but I just know these things are true. I know that with all my heart.

Our other really good investigator, Fei, is doing awesome. We've only been teaching him for a week now but by the end of this one were going to challenge him to be baptised. He's already gone with us to a baptism service so he understands it. He's so awesome and progressing very fast.

I'm sorry this week is short. But I love you all. You're all amazing examples to me. I'm out here because of you and your encouragement. I love you all!!!!!!!! =)

I got stuck behind a lady like that in the store the other day. And Chinese people love to take their time. haha You're going to be so different when I get home. But still way cool!!! =) haha Hey sorry this week is short. I still haven't gotten your letter but maybe soon. I love you Weeze, Jake and Gwen!

You are the wind beneath my wings!

Captain Hong Kong

When Peter was in the MTC, he said he wanted a Hong Kong Superhero tee-shirt with a logo on the chest so that he could pull open his dress shirt and show off the logo like Clark Kent does. Here's the superhero (Captain Hong Kong) with the logo behind him so all those at home can see it.

E-Mail: July 16th, 2009

This Week in Ma On Shan:

On Friday I had my first interview with the new mission president, President Chan. He and Sister Chan are awesome! While my comp was in for his interview I talked with Sister Chan, trying to work on my Cantonese a little, and she was so patient with me and helped me. She's trying to learn English too. A couple week ago we had a zone conference and President and Sister Chan came and Sister Chan said that she will try her best to be a good mom to us. haha She's so awesome!

So a couple awesome miracles happened this week. The other day we wanted to go less active finding, so we were planning on just stopping by at there apartments without calling first. And in Hong Kong you usually can't do that because the guards at the apartments won't let you in without the resident's permission. But most of them just let us up if we promised not to Pohk Muhn (knock on doors). So we promised and we were able to find out a lot about some of our less actives, whether they moved or are still interested or whatever. Anyway form what my comp and everyone else tells me, that never happens in Hong Kong. And the other awesome miracle was on Sunday. Our investigator, John, told us that he wouldn't be able to make it to church that day because he had something going on. We really didn't want him to not come because he has a baptism date on the 25th of this month and he needs to be going to church. Anyway, my comp and I were really stressing on Sunday and we tried to call him but he didn't answer. So in the middle of priesthood (in this ward we have Priesthood, Gospel Principles, and then Sacrament Meeting) John walked in. Miracles happen everyday. I'm seeing them out here and I know that they are there at home too if you just look for positive things everyday and not the negative.

On Tuesday we had Mission Conference. Here we have mission conference once every move (transfer). We got to go up to the peak which was really cool because usually you only get to go up twice on your mission. Once on your first day in Hong Kong and again on your last day. So we were all excited. President and Sister Chan spoke as well as the Temple president and his wife. Today on July 16th is the 60th anniversary for the opening of the China Hong Kong Mission. So at mission conference they talked a lot about the history of the mission. It was really awesome. After we had Hot Dogs (not too common in Hong Kong) and Capri Suns (they don't even exist in Hong Kong). haha So it was fun having an American meal again. haha Most of the native missionaries didn't know what a Capri Sun was so they would come up to me and ask. It was pretty funny but i probably look the same way when I look Yakult (a weird drink they have here that tastes like yogurt but liquid) haha

Yesterday we went on exchanges. My comp is the district leader so he has to go on exchanges with everyone in the district once a move (transfer). So I went with one of the Mandarin Elders (in Hong Kong there are three missions, kind of. The main one is Cantonese speaking. Then they have Mandarin and International which is English speaking. I most likely will have a chance to go to international at some point in my mission. It's just because there are so many Philippians and English people here so they have a branch for them too.) Anyway I went with Elder So for the day. He's a Buhn Deih (Native) so he speaks Cantonese too. So we were able to teach a lot of people, Cantonese and Mandarin. He's such a cool Elder. You'll probably see him in pictures that I will be sending home.

Anyway this email is huge and I need to go so I love you all and hope you have a wonderful week. I'm off to buy some cheep ties. =) haha

Weeze!!!!

What's up? How's it feel to get a letter from Hong Kong? So real quick, right now is a very special moment in history! I just ate my first dragon fruit! =) I am so happy right now! You should look online to see what they look like. When you cut it open it's like a kiwi but white and bigger and not as sweet. You would like it!
Dragon FruitHaha Anyway, how are you doing? How's Gwen? Keeping you pretty busy? It was so good calling you on the phone! It was weird because it did feel like just a regular day calling you to see how you're doing. haha It felt really good! I don't know what's going to happen for Christmas though. I don't know if I'll be able to call more than one person and that will be mom and dad. So maybe you'll have to go to Cali for Christmas! That's a long time from now though so we can worry about it later.

Oh my gosh Weeze! I can't believe I'm actually here! Hong Kong is so awesome! The area I'm in is really nice. It's called Ma On Shan. It's closer to mainland China. You can look it up on Google earth and maybe you'll see me! =) I actually live in a place called Sha Tin. We have to take the Infamous Syu Ba (Syu-means small and Ba Sih-means bus. So you just say Syu Ba for small bus!) to Ma On Shan everyday. It's so fun though! =) I'll draw you a picture of what they look like. The bus is supposed to look like it's up on two wheels while taking a turn, but I'm not a very good artist. =) That's about what it's like. haha
The people here are so awesome! They are really nice and polite. It doesn't mean they'll always talk to us but they are still really nice. We have an investigator, his name is John and he is so awesome! So full of faith but people here think way to much with their head. I talked to him the other night on the phone and he was saying that he's worried that he doesn't have enough faith to get baptised. He has a baptism date for this month on the 25th. I really hope that we will be able to answer his concerns. We are really trying to get him a good friend in the ward so he can have someone to talk to. We'll see what happens.

So our new mission president came today. The old one leaves tomorrow. He's been here for 3 years. The new one's name is President Chan. He's a native. It's really cool because I'll be able to have the same president my whole mission.

Anyway, I need to go we're going to go get some lunch! =) We're going to the bread store. It's so good! You would be so hooked on it! =)

I love you Weeze! Tell the Pimp I love him and give Gwen a kiss from me.

This Week in Ma On Shan:

This week has been really awesome! Our investigator that is preparing for baptism (John) has been making a lot of progress. He has so much faith. We actually just taught him just a second ago. Every time we give him a commitment he is so willing to change and to follow.

haha So something funny real quick, Elder Dixon was looking at a picture that his family just sent him of his family on their backyard and we were both in awe of the size of the lawn and just the fact that there was a lawn! haha They don't exist here. haha And there were no tall buildings in the background. haha

Anyway, so today I went to the Temple for the first time (temple session. I've been in the temple a few times because that's the mission home) It was so awesome! The language is coming very very slowly but it's still coming. Yesterday we went on splits and I went with a Elder to his area and he made me talk to everyone. It was really good. I taught two street lessons and it was totally awesome! I love it when someone says something and it clicks in my head what they said! I love it! =) We talked to like every Poh Poh we came in contact with. haha They are so kind and loving. You just go sit by them and start talking and they get all excited. The culture here is so different then from America.

I ate my first Chicken Foot at a members house the other night. Not the most happy moment of my life but definitely worth it!

I love the gospel!!! I love walking down the street and just saying hello to everyone and smiling and sharing a message. Most people wont listen but it's all good, you just have to keep going and keep smiling. I love it when that one stops and you see them brighten a little. I know this is the true church.

This Week in Ma On Shan (my area):

Oh my gosh I love Hong Kong! The people here are so freakin awesome! They're really busy and hardly ever want to talk to us (just like anywhere I guess) but they are still very nice and polite people. My ward (Ma On Shan Ward) is the best ward ever. They made me feel so comfortable and at home and I couldn't even understand what they were saying =) haha There are a couple priests that are preparing to go on a mission that help us teach. One's name is Jeffery and he's awesome. He helped us teach one of our investigators (John) about the Word of Wisdom. Jeffery really helped him understand. As you can guess, tea is a big deal here. Coffee and alcohol not as much but it's still there. Everyone drinks tea though. And everyone smokes. Anyway, I love my ward. The ward mission leader is awesome! We had a meeting with him a couple days ago and I have no idea what he said but he is just so happy. haha

The weather here right now isn't too bad. You still are constantly sweating but it's been cool for the last couple days. It's going to take some getting used to but I figure that everyone is sweating so it's no big deal. The food here is better though! My favorite thing so far is the bread store. It's nothing like an American bakery. They have all different kinds of breads, some with meat in it and oh my gosh it's so good! and cheap! Like 5 bucks (around 75 cents American).

The best part is definitely the Syu Ba! It's a mini bus. They drive like serious maniacs but it is so fun. It's like a roller coaster ride everyday =) haha I love the Poh Pkhs too! There the old grandmas that just sit around in parks and talk about nothing. haha We go and talk to them every once in a while. There really good to practice my Chinese on because they are so patient and happy. Sometimes they look like there yelling at you but it's just the way they talk here. haha Chinese people love to be loud! haha Oh and they LOVE the microphone =) haha

Oh just so you all know, if you ever send a letter please put Elder Peter McAllister on it. There are Two McAllisters in the mission so I just don't want it to get confused. Thank you all!

This Week in HONG KONG!!!

Oh my Gosh! I'm in Hong Kong! I can't believe it still! We arrived yesterday (Wednesday) at ten in the morning (we're about fourteen hours ahead of California I think) Yesterday was crazy. We went up to the peak which is up behind the skyline on Hong Kong Island. It was so beautiful! On the way we tried to place a Book of Mormon. I wasn't able to do it. On the way back down I tried to talk to this guy on the MTR (subway) but he just ignored me. I got to meet President and Sister Van Dam. They came to pick us up from the airport. You would not believe the heat and humidity here! It is crazy! I'm sweating so I figure it's all good. The apartment is nice. Today was move day so we just got four elders coming into the apartment. I haven't gotten to know them yet. There's six of us in the apartment. We have air conditioning in the bedroom so at least at night your not sweating like crazy.

So sorry if this is all written crazy. I'm so tired! I like waddle down the street like I'm drunk because of jet lag. haha It's actually king of funny. Everyone has told me that I'll still be tired no matter how long I've been here but I just want my mind to catch up to my time zone. haha

So about my trainer. His name is Elder Dixon. He's awesome! He's been here for about a year and a half and his Cantonese is really good. I hope I can learn a lot from him because I definitely need help with my language. He's from Las Vegas and he plays the chello (flippin awesome!) Last night he took me to a ward fireside for the leaving missionaries are I got to meet some of the ward members but I was so tired that I honestly can't remember their names. It was fun though. Today is P Day so we've been getting a couple things done and we're going to go shopping after this. Then later we're going to go "finding" and we want to teach a couple lessons to some people on the street. I'm pretty excited! =)

The church is true I know it with all my heart. I know right now I can't understand the people here but I know I can with the Lord's help. I've seen many miracles so far on my mission. Just the fact that I'm out here is a miracle. I love this gospel and I want to share it with everyone here. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and I know He knows all of us personally. He knows all of you and He knows me and the needs that I have right now and I know that He can help me as I do this work. I love in Alma 7:11-13. He knows how to succor his people. And I love Ether 12:27. He will make me strong. I know this with all my heart and I can not fail with him besides me.

This Week In The MTC:

Last Saturday we went to the TA for our teaching appointment and taught the 1st lesson again in Cantonese. We taught really good but we were really struggling on understanding our "investigator's" questions. We found out later from our teacher what he was asking so we felt pretty bad but we learned a good lesson. So this week we've been really working on listening to and understanding Cantonese. We watched Finding Faith in Christ in Cantonese and I was surprised at how much I could pick up. So hopefully this Saturday when we go to teach at the TA we can help our "investigator" a lot better than last time.

We got our FLIGHT PLANS!!!!! We're leaving next Monday the 22nd! We're all so excited and trying really hard not to catch the swine flu! haha We were talking last night and realised that this Sunday will be our last sacrament in English for a while! The following Sunday we'll be in Hong Kong!! Our flight leaves around 9pm I think and we will fly to San Francisco. And then our flight at San Francisco leave at like one in the morning. Then we will fly to Taiwan and should arrive there about 6am on the 25th (according to their time. If should still be the 24th in America) and then we leave Taiwan at 8am and arrive at Hong Kong at 10am! =) YEAH!!!!! I'm so excited!

Real quick about the RC. I tried to call Danny again yesterday but he didn't answer. I think he's still at the hospital. Anyway so I handed his teaching record on to the new Hong Kong elders that will be here for six more weeks. I really wanted to say good bye but it's all good. I know that God love him and will take care of him! I'm so excited to share the Gospel in Hong Kong!

Letter: June 11th, 2009

Hey Weeze! =)

Hey, I just sent you an email, but just in case of some weird happenings and you get this letter before the email, Elder Plumb got your package of cookies. It's okay that you can't send any for a while. I understand that look completely! =) (He's talking about the look Jake gives me when he finds out I'm making cookies for anyone other than him) Jake is a dang good looking guy! But he is the Pimp and what do you expect? Oh man, I miss the Pimp so much! We went to the Temple today and I was thinking about the time me and the Pimp went to the temple and he told me awesome stories of when he was on his mission. And Gwen is the daughter of the two biggest pimps so of course she has that look!

I can't believe how fast she's growing up! I haven't seen the videos yet. I'm not sure if it will let me watch videos. I can see pictures though!

That's so cool about Elder Hales! We have a general authority come every Tuesday to a fireside but we don't get to actually meet them. That's so cool about what Sister Hales talked about! Satan can take 99 truths and just slip in I1 false and that's all it takes that's why it's so important to read with the Spirit. I'm really trying to learn when Satan is trying to temp me with something that would otherwise be good. I find myself thinking about old time, like let's just say the mountains. I think about how I would love to go hiking and the times I've gone hiking. Totally innocent , but not when I'm teaching and I need to concentrate on the needs of the investigator, or when I'm reading the Book of Mormon and I need to concentrate on what I'm reading. Satan will use a simple thing as hiking. But I'm starting to learn how to recognize it. This may sound weird but my testimony of Satan has grown sense coming here. But my testimony of the Priesthood and the power of it has grown as well. My teacher told me something awesome the other day. She said that I have the power to cast out devils. Which means that if I feel Satan trying to tempt me I have the power to tell him to leave and he has to! =) I tried it once and it was so awesome! I love the gospel and the priesthood!

So I'm not sure if Todd told you but he finished my shirt! I got it yesterday. He sent me some stickers of it too! I put one at the bottom of the letter. It's so awesome!

Oh my gosh! I love the MTC! The spirit is so strong and I hope that I can learn to keep that spirit with me in Hong Kong! Oh, I cant' wait to go! So I should be leaving Tuesday the 23rd, but I'm not totally sure yet but if it is then I'll be calling around 6-8pm I think. When it gets closer I'll know for sure. I can't believe you still remember that card number for a card from that long ago! I actually got a phone card but that was freakin awesome of you! I'll hold on to that number just in case though! Thanks Weeze! It's funny that you keep thinking you can call me. I keep thinking that I feel my cell phone vibrating in my pocket. =)

Well I have to go Weeze. But I freakin love you and can't wait to talk to you guys!

Love, Elder McAllister

This Week in the MTC
This week has been really good. the flu is still around but they have it mostly quarntined. everyone is alowed to leave on there departure dates now so we shouldn't get held back. missionaries that are coming in aren't allowed to to bring there families inside still. i'm not sure for how much longer they will be doing that. I'm probably going to be heading out in two weeks but i'm not totally positive on that yet. we're still waiting for our flight plans.
We had Elder Bednar come last night at the Tuesday Divotional. He gave an amazing talk on how to recognize the Spirit. he said that he is asked alot how we know if it's the spirit or if it's just my thoughts that i'm hearing. he's answer was awesome. he said,"STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT!!! be a good boy and girl! remember to always keep your covenants and get up and move! The Lord will guide your steps." he went on to talk about how even if it's just a thought go with it and see what happens. but the key is keep moving. don't sit and wait for the Holy Ghost to tell you to move. he won't tell you till you move and then listen. but the main thing is to stop worrying about it.
i was wondering alot about this when i first came to the mtc and he totally answered my question. he also told us some pretty funny stories about when he was on his mission and some funny things that President Hinckley said to him. it was an awesome talk.
so i tried to call Danny yesterday but he didn't answer. i think he is having surgery. he told me that he was going to have surgery and i think it was this week that he said he was. but i called Bob back and asked him if he prayed about the Book of Mormon and he said he did but didn't feel anything. he kept going on about all these ramdom facts about hebrew and nothing really important. i finally just bore my testimony and said good buy. i felt rude but but my Teacher told me that it wasn't rude. i needed to do that so i can spened my time sharing the message with people who are willing to listen. i learned a really good lesson that day. i love that Gospel!

Peter is so proud of these pictures!
These are some random pictures he drew and thought the kids would like them!

Family,

I LOVE IT!!!!

It is so awesome! Todd you are an amazing! I wore it yesterday and everyone was asking Elder Plumb and I where we got the shirts. Everyone wants one now, so you might be getting a lot of order slips requesting shirts! haha just kidding. It is so awesome though. I showed my teacher yesterday and she loved it!

So I hope you don't mind but I gave the El Salvador shirt to Elder Illum (he's in my district, also going to Hong Kong). He absolutely loves it! He walks around with a Spanish accent now! Todd's art is freakin' awesome. I tried to tell my fellow missionaries about Bonzai ( I hope I spelled it right) man, but my words don't do him justice.

I am way excited for when I get home and get the 8x10 picture. It would be too much to carry around now. So now I have something awesome to look forward to! You guys are so awesome for doing that! I am so blessed to have freakin' awesome brother and sister like you guys! You guys are an awesome example of what I want when I grow up and have kids! your kids are going to be awesome examples to my kids. I used to not like being the youngest, because then my kids would be pretty young compared to the rest of the cousins, but now I see that they'll have amazing examples to look up to.

Wow here I am talking about kids and I'm not even married and I'm still on a mission! haha. Sometimes it's just fun to look ahead. Time goes by so fast. Especially here at the MTC. I can't believe I only have 2 weeks left here. Well that's when we think we're leaving. We haven't got our flight plans yet but we're hoping we'll get them this week.

Yeah, Weeze told me about the blog, it is so way cool. I can't look at it, but she gave me the address, so that I can tell my friends. I'm glad that I have to cool sisters that are willing to do that! You guys are awesome!!!!

Yes, I get e-mail in Hong Kong. I'm not exactly sure where, but I'll get to do it once a week on P-day. I don't think they'll let us have computers in the apartments. That wouldn't be good! I don't really prefer one over the other. I like sending the general letter in an e-mail, but I like receiving letters and writing personal letters. I just hope no one gets upset that it takes me a while to write back. Speaking of e-mails, I need to head over to the computer lab so I can e-mail everyone. You don't need to reply to my e-mail if you don't want to . It's just a general update.

Todd Thank You again sooooo much for the shirt!!!! I love it so much! I'm sending you some light sabor pictures in the letter. Tell Ki I'm so proud of him and I wish I could be there to watch him play. I love you all, Taylar, Ki, Kelten, Knightin, TJ, Todd and Kristy! The church is TRUE!!

Letter from Elder Plumb (Peter's First Companion)

Dear Louise McCrea,

Thank you so much for the cookies you sent. I enjoyed them very much! Oh and please thank you husband for me because I know it would be very hard to let such good cookies out of his house. I have really enjoyed serving with your brother. He has been such a good example to me and he talks about you often. I can tell how much you two must love each other.

...I would just like to end with my testimony on how I know this church is true and I know what we are doing is what we need to be doing. Thank you so much again!

Hey Weeze!!!! =)

So first of all, this paper is awesome!!! I know! =) Todd and Kristy made it for me! Anyway you need to tell Jake to come to the MTC with me and then we can both get cookies! =) That would be so sweet having Jake here! I don't think that the MTC would be a very reverent place if that happened. =)

That's so cool about the blog. Thank you so much for doing that. And thank you for the address. I can send it to my friends. Is Kristy just posting on her blog or did she start a blog too? Just wondering. I wish I could look at it. But I guess I am living it. =)

I'm so glad your telling Gwen about me! =) I can't believe she's talking already. Or is it you that says dada and she likes to hear it? Whatever Weeze! You are totally blaming your farts on Gwen! =) That is so awesome! I can just see her fart and then smile and giggle and point at you guys! I miss her so much! Never think that you can't write about Gwen. I love Gwen stories.

I really hope everything goes ok with Jake's job. I hope he doesn't have to go back to working with the inmates. I really love that scripture you sent. especially 2Nephi 2:27 where it says that men are free to choose eternal life or captivity. We've been learning the second discussion this week (plan of salvation). We have the power to choose Eternal life (live with God in the celestial kingdom). We have the choice in all things which then requires of us. Then Nephi says, "giveth no commandments...save he shall prepare a way..." Nephi understood that it's not a hard thing, all he had to do was look unto Christ. Alma 33:19 says, "whosoever would look upon it might live." ("It" representing Christ) That's what we need to do, look and follow his example and we might live. It doesn't mean life will be perfect or that we won't have trials, but it will be so much easier with His help. In Mosiah 23:21 it says, "the Lord seeth fit to chasten his people; yea he triath their patience and their faith." and I just found a scripture that other day in Nephi 2:2 where Lehi is talking to Jacob and he says, "He (God) shall consecrate thine afflictions for thy gain." That is so awesome! Oh my goth I love the scriptures! =) They have everything you need in them! I can't believe how much I've learned in so little time. I know it's not me. It's the Lord. I'm realizing how much we really need to rely on Him.

Oh my gosh Weeze! I just realized that I'm leaving in like 2-3 weeks! I'm GOING TO HONG KONG!!! =) It's starting to hit me pretty strong right now. That's half way around the world! I don't know if I'm ready. No I am! I am! I hope so. That's a whole different part of the world. Anyway, I better go. We're going to go do a tie exchange for our friends going to the Phillip9ines next week. I Love you Weeze! The church is true! In Cantonese you would say, "gaau wui haih jaan saht ge!" Behave yourself!
